CONTRACT AND RETAINER FEE
PRELIMINARY READ
SECOND READ
GET IN TOUCH: Using any of the Email Me links or click on "Let's Start the Process" below, shoot me an email. Tell me about your project and its needs. I will then email you back to talk about schedules and request a full copy of your manuscript as a Word document.
SAMPLE EDIT: Once I receive your manuscript, I will get started on your sample edit (1000 words in most cases). I usually look at three sections of your piece for this sample edit (beginning, middle and end). *Free sample edits are not available to previously served clients.
The sample edit will be returned to you within 3-5 business days of manuscript receipt. Once you receive the sample edit, review it carefully - you will get a good feel for my style and what working with me is like. If the vibe's not there, then no worries! Receiving a sample edit from me is not binding in any way.
But if you feel that we click and that I understand your vision for your work, then I can't wait to work with you!
CONTRACT AND RETAINER FEE: If I'm the right fit for your project, then I will send you a contract that defines the project and its schedule, my fees and payment schedule, and your rights as an author during this process. Once the contract is in order, signed and returned to me with the retainer fee, your place is secured in my schedule.
PRELIMINARY READ: On your scheduled date, I will begin by reading your manuscript. However, I will not make any major comments at this stage. I merely make handwritten notes on general ideas and concepts. This is to give me an idea of what your manuscript is about and allows me to become familiar with the story and its content.
SECOND READ: After the preliminary read, I then take a deeper look at your manuscript. I make more detailed notes and start my formal work using comment bubbles and the Track Changes features in Word. This two-step process is done to ensure that I fully understand both the larger story and the smaller details within it, ensuring better-informed feedback for you.

The final payment is due upon delivery of your package's deliverables.
