About DANGO
So, who is Dango?
Dango is actually Kako.

Kako's Story
Dango was designed after Kako.
Kako descends from a famous bloodline. She is the great-grandpup of the legendary Don Juan (aka D.J.) who is known for playing Max in Eight Below (2006) and Demon in Snow Dogs (2002). This wasn't known when Kako was adopted, but it is a fun part of her special story.
Kris’s husband (Toby) always wanted husky. Kris wanted a second dog (to join their current dog Kira who was a husky/heeler mix). By chance, the sister of one of Toby’s coworkers bred huskies and a litter was expected around Christmas time. So, to an extent, Kako was a shared Christmas gift.
Kako loved tennis balls.
The picture you see above of Kako and the tennis ball? She actually stole that tennis ball when out on a walk. She was quite happy with herself. She found it in a neighborhood friend's yard who was happy to let her keep it.
Kako's Kause
Kako passed away suddenly in 2018 from a surprise heart issue. She ran every day until that happened. We teamed with CharityMiles for every run so that she could raise money for ASPCA. It's something I should honestly start again. I first learned about CharityMiles from my runninf club. We had a competition between Houses to see who could raise the most money/earn the most miles. I decided that since Kako was out with me, she should be earning money too - for animals! That's when we started Kako's Kause. It didn't become everything I hoped (I really wanted to see it progress into a non-profit that was able to help deserving families in need with their vet bills), but it gave me memories and pictures of time Kako and I shared together.
Yes, Kako Loved Running!
Kako loved to run. I'd have to keep a sharp eye because the only thing that would distract her was a rabbit. She'd even make me feel bad if I was getting a run in on the treadmill while she laid downstairs with me. There was only so much staring and crying I can take LOL
CHECK BACK!
I'LL ADD MORE IN THE FUTURE
